All competitors must check in at the White Rock Boat Club (“WRBC”) on Saturday, June 6, 2009 between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. A registration form is included with downloadable notice.
Sailing Instructions will be provided at check-in.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Five (5) races will be attempted. One (1) race will constitute a regatta.
Saturday, June 6:
0830 - 0930.... Registration, check-in and continental breakfast at the WRBC.
0930............... Skippers Meeting
1030............... First Warning Signal
TBD................ Lunch ashore at WRBC
1830............... Dinner at WRBC (purchased separately at the Saturday registration)
Four or more races will be attempted on Saturday at the discretion of the Race Committee. Lunch will be provided during a break in races at the WRBC.
Sunday, June 7:
0830 - 0930... Continental breakfast
1000............... First Warning Signal
No warning signal will be made after 12:00 noon
Award presentation to follow the last race on Sunday as soon as possible.
ENTRY FEE: $30.00 for Butterfly, Laser or Sunfish. $10.00 discount for Butterfly fleet members. $15.00 discount for Juniors. The entry fee includes lunch on Saturday and continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS:Will be available at registration.
REGATTA SITE AND COURSES:
Races will be conducted upon the waters of White Rock Lake, Dallas, Texas. Courses will be as provided in the Sailing Instructions.
SCORING:The low point scoring system, Appendix A of the Racing Rules of Sailing, will apply.
TROPHIES/AWARDS:
Trophy presentation will be conducted as soon as practical after the completion of the last race or protest hearing(s) on Sunday. Awards will be given to the top finishers of each fleet.
DIRECTIONS TO WHITE ROCK BOAT CLUB:The White Rock Boat Club is located on East Lawther Drive on the eastshore of White Rock Lake. The Club is accessible only from the East Lawther Drive exit off Mockingbird Lane on the north end of White Rock Lake. After exiting on East Lawther Drive follow the road south along the east shore to the first boat club on your right. A map showing the location of the WRBC can be found on the WRBC website at http://www.whiterockboatclub.org/.
