WHITE STUFF EVERYWHERE

A day off, an all wheel drive vehicle, a Canadian driver and a little curiosity and where do we end up? White Rock Lake. Not a sole had been on the docks at WRBC. The gates were iced closed and the snow behind the gates was pristine. There were a couple of boats in distress though, so we chipped out a squeeze through opening and put things right with the boats.
Doug and I won’t be sailing tomorrow. The docks have ice under the snow and the gates will require a little effort to get completely open and it’s COLD. The roads were drivable but after an overnight freeze, they’ll be slick in the morning. Be careful.
It appeared CSC had some activity and all boats appeared to be ok. A small yellow moored boat had been dismasted and another larger moored boat appeared to have drifted fairly close to shore. Hopefully their owners will come check on them.

Did anyone sail on Saturday? I was going to come down but became a statistic at about 6 am when i slipped on some ice on the back porch letting the dogs out...That stuff is dangerous, sometimes you cant even see it! Cut my big toe and jammed three others. Ski tip latter this week, hope they feel better by Thursday! See you in two weeks.
Grate pics Pam!
