Finally! A chance to try out my new camera ...
Send this to my wife so she'll know I was really here |
We got this ... piece of cake! |
Just another day at the races |
Am I getting lower in the water? |
It's amazing how good it feels to start on time |
I'm actually having fun ... this wind isn't all that |
Does it look like that halyard is frayed? |
Look how high my traveler is ... I'm pointing really well |

Larry and I had duty. We had some good stiff winds. The motor broke on the committee boat (or maybe it didn't). Regardless, Larry fixed it. Tom went for a sail then called it quits before we got the first race started. Marshall got to the lake and forgot his sail and had to go back home and get it. In the meantime Miles distracted Burton and had him begin to launch a CSC boat so Burton missed the first start but finished 4th anyway. Doug was practicing for the Nationals and wearing a hat cam. Bowman was sailing without a drain plug and did rather well until the boat began to weigh more than she did. Bob had a main halyard break and was towed back to the club. Cathy, Laurie, Bowman and Marlisa didn't hesitate with the winds and all sailed and gave it hell. Gary was his usual solid and steady self. And Mercury is in Retrograde ...
Oh, and Cathy recently had a birthday. Happy Birthday Cathy!

Thank you Pam! Love the pics in the blog but the link to more photos isn't working. I want more, more, more. lol!
Lunch break, lunch, and the blog are fun because when I'm sailing I never know what else is happening - then I discover the back story.
Good luck to Doug in the Nationals!!!!

Thanks Cathy! I can't get to the pictures right now either. I think something is broken with Google. I'll check again when I have access and make sure I made the albums public.
