Light air haunted us on Saturday with only 2 races.  The race committee, with Bob Gough as the PRO, did a great job setting and resetting the courses but we finally called it a day due to the light air, thanks for the tow-in. We decided to move-up sailing by an hour on Sunday and there would hopefully be more wind.

Saturday was a light air day!
More wind materialized for Sunday which made for much more enjoyable sailing and fun was had by all.  The course only had to be reset after the first two races and no races had to be abandoned. That's the sailing we like to do!
Start of the first race on the second day.  Bob thankfully set the course right in the middle of the wind.
Paul adds:  Congratulations to Gary Eppink, winner of the 53rd annual Wrangle regatta. Consistency was the key for Gary finishing no worse than fifth in any race and winning only one. Of the 5 races there were 4 different winners. Burton Shepherd was the only competitor to win more than 1 race with 2 bullets in the 1st 2 races today. The leader board was all over the place and Gary closed out his win on the 5th and final race passing Bruce and Frank on the final leg for a 2nd. The full results will be posted on the CSC website this week, the top five finishers below and Cathy O'Neal finishes as top woman.

1. Gary Eppink
2. Paul Miller
3. Burton Shepherd
4. Frank Richards
5. John Konstanzer

The BIGGEST of thanks to Cathy and Cameron who made this regatta a huge success!

Also special thanks to CSC and Bob Gough for doing RC. Bob is truly the best PRO around!

Our tireless PRO, Bob Gough, and part of the race committee.  Thank you!

Gary accepts his first place award from Paul.  Congratulations Gary!
Special thanks to Jackie, our chief registrar, Tom, for getting our stylish trophies, and Brad for the t-shirts.  Also thanks to Frank for all his help and advice, from organizing the race committee to scoring the regatta.
The fleet unanimously agreed the design was best ever!
