Light wind, clouds, tolerable temperatures... great conditions for Gary to be shooting bullets...
Saturday was light and puffy, but three races were held in a row in order to not let the building wind escape us. 5 butterfly's and one homemade boat with a fly rig enjoyed the beginning of fall at WRL. Just wait... more cooler weather to come.
Taking two of three races, Gary had a great day and went out for more after we all went back to the docks. Paul got the second race, a W2 we threw in as the winds was starting to die but picked up just at the start for a quick up and back race.

Wait... that is not a butterfly....The rig worked great and he was with the fleet the whole time. |
Gary... King of light air... |
As for me, your former fleet captain... I have greatly missed my time at the lake the past several months, however it has been for good reason. It was nice to be welcomed back warmly and on duty again to run some races. I hope to be back out on the water soon, under sail power... As for now our newest addition is taking allot of my Saturday morning time, but I hope to have him on the water in no time.

Great blog. Always good to know what I missed. We were off biking in Little Rock. Congrats to Gary, king of light air!

Wow! Congrats on Anthony! I didn't even know that one was on the way. Great to have you back and blogging. Hopefully, we'll be on the lake at the same time soon.
