The day was overcast with winds out of the NNW at 15-20 knots. It was not unusual to find 30 degree shifts in a puff and dead air in just one leg of the racecourse. We had 2 man overboard drills and both sailors were able to right themselves to finish the race, albeit with a slightly lower body temperature. We sailed without a break between races as the forecast called for increased velocity all day. While eating a sandwich we got to meet James’ 2-week-old daughter who would not be disturbed from her nap. It was a lovely day for sailing and celebrating new life!
