4-11-2015 Racing

a few more photos by Paul                                                                                                        by Cathy

Seven boats on the line for the first two races, then five for the last race.  For such a beautiful day, attendance was light.  The winds were light and variable from the ESE, but we still managed to keep moving pretty well most of the time.  It was a cloudy day and the temperature was perfect.

Paul had race duty and took some photos to share.  I've tried to puzzle out exactly what is going on in each photo and have the following observations based on the photos, the scores that Gary has already posted, and my memories:  As usual Gary excelled in the light air.  John led quite a few times and continues to be in the top 3 places.  I managed to win a race - for only the second time in my four years of sailing a Butterfly.  Bob moved up in each race until he finished second to Gary in the last race.  Tom looked good in his new hat and was right up there in the mix for awhile.  And Miles beat James by a smidgen in an exciting photo finish of the last race.
