Tom and Amber were on race committee, set a perfect course, rescued a capsized boat, and generally looked like they were enjoying the nice day on the lake.  Thank you, race committee!

It was another gorgeous day to sail and it didn't seem too hot except on some of those afternoon downwind legs.  Wind was from the S about 11-16 mph which helped us stay cool.  We had 9 Butterfly sailors on the line for the 1st and 2nd race then 7 in the last race.  Results for the top 3 places:

1st race:  Paul, Bruce, John.
2nd race:  Paul, Burton, Bruce.
3rd race: Paul, John, Burton.

Jim is fairly new to the Butterfly but he is quickly getting the hang of it.  It does take awhile to learn the boat handling, not drop the tiller, not get tangled up in the lines, etc.  Believe me, I know!  The last race of the day is the first time it came together for him.  It's never a straight line - but I'm betting more success will follow and it's great to have him join the fleet in his brand new Butterfly.
