ROUND TABLE CONTINUES TO TAKE SHAPE

WRBC's club schedule, which was released late Friday, presented a direct conflict with the next scheduled Round Table meeting. A visit to Arlington Yacht Club on Sunday to pick up a boat and trailer ended up with an impromtu sample round table discussion of about 15 people repeating a portion of the discussions from the first meeting and an idea was born.
Why not take the Round Table on the road and have each fleet/yacht club with interested members host it from time to time. Each time it moves from one place to another, the focus of the discussion will naturally be more geared toward the boats sailed by those members. There will be those sailors who prefer to attend just their fleet/club's discussions and there will be those that want to learn from others and will go and learn what they can and bring it back to their fleet/club. The main purpose being to bring sailors from all fleets and clubs together to get to know one another and learn from each other and increase the level of competence and competition.
Arlington Yacht Club has expressed an interest in hosting the next Round Table meeting. The next meeting's day and time will be posted as soon as it is known. A reminder email will go out to those on the membership roster as well as to the hosting contact person.
